ICT Joins Canada’s Broadband Community at CanWISP 2026
ICT was pleased to attend CanWISP 2026 in Toronto, connecting with internet service providers, technology partners, and industry leaders from across Canada’s broadband landscape.
As Canada’s premier event for independent and regional broadband providers, CanWISP continues to play an important role in bringing together the people and organizations working to expand connectivity in communities across the country. This year’s theme, Bridging the Connection, was evident throughout the conference as attendees gathered to share ideas, discuss challenges, and explore new opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
The event provided an excellent opportunity for the ICT team to meet with operators deploying fixed wireless, fibre, and hybrid networks, while also reconnecting with long-standing customers and industry partners. From conversations on the trade show floor to networking events and technical discussions, there was a strong focus on building more resilient, scalable, and efficient broadband infrastructure.
Throughout the conference, we heard firsthand how service providers are navigating evolving network demands, expanding coverage into underserved areas, and leveraging new technologies to improve service delivery. These conversations reinforced the critical role that reliable power infrastructure plays in supporting network uptime, operational efficiency, and long-term growth.
One of the highlights of CanWISP is its uniquely collaborative atmosphere. As a community-driven event, it creates space for meaningful conversations between network operators, vendors, regulators, and technology providers—all working toward the shared goal of improving broadband access across Canada.
